John Green reads from interactive book Textbook Amy Krouse Rosenthal

Amy Krouse Rosenthal’s nonlinear memoir Textbook Amy Krouse Rosenthal is out Tuesday, and EW is excited to debut a clip of John Green reading from the audiobook.

Rosenthal’s episodic, funny, and highly visual memoir is divided into traditional textbook topics including Art, Music, Math, Science, and History, and Green’s story, which Rosenthal asked him to write while she was working on her previous memoir Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life, appears in the History section. His contribution is titled “The Fictional Supplement to the Nonfiction Book.”

Textbook Amy Krouse Rosenthal is the first book to offer interactive text message prompts, and Green’s story is one of them. At the beginning of the book, readers will find a phone number to text during optional prompts.
