Justice League and Power Rangers meet in comic book crossover

The six-issue miniseries is set to debut on Jan. 11

Justice League and Power Rangers are both set to hit theaters next year, but before that, the super teams will join forces in an epic crossover comic book miniseries.

Starting on Jan. 11, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, and Cyborg are set to meet the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in a six-issue monthly series from writer Tom Taylor and artist Stephen Byrne.

The story will kick off with the Rangers’ command center under attack and Zack the Black Ranger being sent to an alternate universe — which just happens to feature some familiar DC superheroes. It’s then up to the fellow Rangers to band together and save Zack.

“DC and BOOM! Studios teaming up on this crossover is a dream come true for fans of Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and the Justice League,” said Hank Kanalz, senior vice president of DC Entertainment. “Stories like this are a great way to have that ‘what if’ itch scratched, combining favorite characters from different publishers in epic adventures.”

If the historic team-up wasn’t enough, each issue will feature an additional special cover, pairing individual members of the two teams, from Batman and Pink Ranger to The Flash and Black Ranger.

The Power Rangers movie will be released on March 24, and Justice League will land in theaters on Nov. 17, 2017.
